HEAVEN ON EARTH

 

What is the meaning of Heaven on Earth?

I think Micah Stampley really got a true revelation of this spiritual reality when he sang the song titled  "Heaven on Earth".✅

Do you know you are that heaven on Earth?  The “heaven" that we perceive is far beyond the skies as depicted in movies or a place that is spatially located above earth, where we just sing "holy, holy" for all eternity. As believers that heaven we  crave is within us and as a result, that heaven is *US*. What comprises  heaven is the spirit of God and without Him, heaven isn't heaven, or better still heaven is not heaven because it is in another planet like we assume, but what makes heaven is the fact that the Presence of God is enthroned there. 

Therefore, quite simply, anywhere God is enthroned as God, where He is worshipped and revered for who He is, where His influence is active, and so on and so forth is Heaven. The life(Zoe) of God now reigns in us, as believers. Luke 17--21 tells us that "the  kingdom of the Lord is among men". As long as you have the spirit of God in you, you are in heaven. Eph... 2--6 says "we are seated with Christ  at the right hand of the FATHER in heavenly places far above all principalities and powers. And 1cor6--17 says "our spirit is joined together with Him, therefore we are one with him in spirit". If God's goal is to take us to "heaven", a location where God exclusively exists, then immediately we gave our lives to Christ our existence here ought to be cut short.... and then boom... We would meet ourselves there.  But God intends to build a Kingdom here on earth through us and for us, as Christ prayed that God's kingdom should come and be established here on earth. So, we know that heaven is not where we are going, it is where we are, so God's goal, to reiterate, is to establish his will/ kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven Mat. 6--10.

Furthermore, the Bible clearly informs us that Heaven and Earth will pass away, so, does that mean, what God has planned for us will pass away? This shows that heaven is not what God has planned for us.

Christ said that He would return so that where He is, there we may be also. But this is not referring to heaven, from which the devil instigated a rebellion, and compromised the sanctity of God's dwelling. Of what significance is taking us back to where it all began, where the corruption first originated?

He has said *behold, I make all things new, even Heaven will be made new.*🤲

Ponder 🤔: we are seated with Christ  in heavenly places far above all principalities and power.
